Key Dates for the 2009 SYBA Baseball Season
State Amateur Committee Donation
A standing ovation and high fives to the State Amateur Committee for their $1,000 donation to the Shakopee Youth Baseball Association. The 2008 State Amateur Tournament was a great success and the Committee decided to give some of the proceeds of the tournament back to the Shakopee Baseball Community. Thank you very much.
Schleper Stadium Named Field of the Year
At the 2008 Minnesota State High School Baseball Association’s Hall of Fame Banquet, Joe Schleper Baseball Stadium was awarded the “Field of the Year” Award!
Thanks to the city workers and volunteer workers who made “a dream in 1984 into a reality in 2008”!
Volunteer Opportunities
The Shakopee Youth Baseball Association is looking for volunteers interested in filling the following positions for the 2009 Baseball Season.
- Little League Coordinator
- Mighty Mites League Coordinator
- Equipment Coordinator
- Registration Coordinator
- Field Coordinator

The SYBA relies on volunteers to complete its many tasks and keep programs affordable. Please consider helping out.

Team 4 wins 2008 Little League Tournament
Seeded 10th out of ten teams, Team 4 won all their tournament games to claim the Little League Tournament Championship. Several coaches commented on the development of the team over the course of the year. Congratulations players and coaches.
Saber 14/15A wins 3rd Place in 2008 MBT State Tournament
Congratulations to the 14/15A Team coached by Mike Hammerschmidt on their third place finish at the MBT state tournament.
